Our MBA in Nonprofit Management and Public Administration combines the strength of the MBA curriculum with the deeper study of management issues and operations unique to nonprofit organizations and government agencies. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field who bring their real-world experience into the classroom. They’ll immerse you in subjects like governance and board development, fundraising and budgeting strategies, volunteer recruitment, public and intergovernmental relations, financial and legal issues, program evaluation and fraud prevention.
Because we want to make this knowledge available to you, this flexible program is offered at our main campus, our off-site locations and online - so you can take classes no matter where you’re located. Plus, no GRE or GMAT are required to apply. That means that you can gain the knowledge you need even while working full-time. This online MBA degree is earned from our Concordia University Wisconsin campus.
Graduate Certificate
Post-Baccalaureate students can earn a graduate certificate by selecting four courses within one of the MBA concentration areas or within the MBA core for a total of twelve credits. Students may at any time transition into the MBA degree program course of study through the standard application process.
You’re going to make a big impact doing meaningful and crucial work. You’ll have the know-how to start a nonprofit and strategically think through all the steps - from financial planning to board governance and marketing efforts. Plus, a skillset and knowledge base that will prepare you to influence agencies, communities and systems. You’ll know how to connect different departments within your governing body to accomplish group initiatives. You’ll also hone your perspective on administrative law, budgeting, personnel and programs.
But we want you to be more than knowledgeable. That’s why we designed our program to also increase your leadership skills, ground you in an ethical foundation, develop your ability to clearly communicate and enable you to creatively problem-solve. At the end of the program, you’ll even complete a portfolio of your work to show to potential employers - so you can get into the business of building communities and organizations.
